Welcome to the Anderson CVI Music Department website. The 2011-2012 school year is off to a great start! Concert Bands have started rehearsing and the Jazz Bands and Vocal Ensemble will be beginning soon. Check back here often for updates on performances, trips, fundraising, and much more!
Congratulations to all music students who performed at our Holiday Concert. Your performance were excellent! It was a wonderful way to kick off the holiday season!
Our first performances of the year are fast approaching! On Friday, October 28th, both the Junior Concert Band and Senior Concert Band will be involved in our school ceremonies. Junior band will perform at the Junior Awards Ceremony in the afternoon and Senior band will perform at Commencement in the evening. Please make sure that you are available for these important ceremonies. We are looking forward to making our debut performances this year!
Senior Band
When: the evening of Friday, October 28th
6:45 pm – Arrive in full concert dress
7:00 pm – we head to the gym to start playing
7:30 pm – Ceremonies begin.
Junior Band
When: afternoon of Friday, October 28th
12:00 pm – Arrive in full concert dress
12:20 pm – we head to the gym to start playing
12:45 pm – Ceremonies begin.
Ensembles are well underway in the music wing of Anderson. Here are the times for this year’s groups.
Senior Concert Band – Wednesday’s 3:00 – 4:30 pm
Junior Concert Band – Thursday’s 3:00 – 4:30 pm
Jazz Band - Monday’s 7:30 – 8:30 am
